Happy Christmas from Houston PR!  It has been a momentous year for us, with so many highlights we don’t really know where to start.  Some of our work is public, some of it is behind the scenes.  Here are some of the things that we’d like to shout about from the snow-covered rooftops:

  1. We launched Growing Underground with Michel Roux Jr – a subterranean farm 33 metres underground
  2. It was the lead story on Mail Online for 5 hours. FIVE HOURS!
  3. In fact, we won a PR Week Award for the launch
  4. We started work with Clintons and have created a programme of stories centered around important calendar dates
  5. We changed our name to Houston PR in June, and relocated to Somerset House. Pop by for a coffee/tea/vegetable smoothie!
  6. We launched – a site that cuts the waffle out of politicians’ speeches. The coverage was amazing.
  7. We launched another site – – which tidies up tweets before you send them. It was reported around the world.
  8. We got a shoutout from The Hoff
  9. Houston helped client PomeGreat sign a deal with an Afghanistan-based supplier to coincide with a London conference on the country’s future. The announcement made headline news in the UK and Afghanistan.
  10. We launched the impatience index for KANA, looking at way that more and more of us are wasting time waiting for service from companies.
  11. We launched the Virtual Physiological Human for the Insigneo Institute – a bold project that is creating a digital version of the human body. It’s basically the future of medicine.
  12. We launched the world’s first air-cleaning poem.
  13. We signed global warranty providers Squaretrade. We’ve publicised SquareTrade’s Breakability Index for the launch of the new iPhones (and tablets for Christmas) and looked at the rise in mobile accidents as people are distracted on the move.
  14. We updated Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs
  15. We launched a ‘how to do terrible PR’ guide
  16. We bought a space suit and put it through its paces with a few commutes and space walks.  Some of them caught the eye.
  17. We were excited to win a pitch for BSH Home Appliances We’re launching Bosch, Siemens and Neff’s biggest revamp of products in over a decade.  Look out for news of this in 2015.
  18. We created a periodic table of story elements
  19. We launched our new website… check it out!
  20. We sent the announcement of our rebrand into space…

It was a huge year for us – our biggest yet.  We’re hugely grateful for the support of clients, friends and associates throughout this amazing year and we look forward to even greater things in 2015.
